When’s the last time you checked Facebook or Instagram?
As I scroll through my feeds, I am constantly intrigued by the fascinating photos and videos posted by others. Pictures aren’t just pictures anymore! With technologies that show geographical locations and time stamps, we are not left guessing who, when, or where the photos were taken, since we have some context. We know who, because the picture appears on their profile; when because of the time and date the picture was posted; and, thanks to Geotagging, the where is just as easy to locate.
Just as you can easily visualize on these sites, you can now do the same in Summation. Whether you have processed loose files or email archives, AccessData gives you the ability to work with graphs and charts representing timelines that are key to your cases. Yup! Now you can look at graphics while reviewing documents … At work!
Both email and file visualization offer a unique representation of your data based on a timeline, while the social analyzer provides a representation of a custodian’s connections.
With Email Visualization you can choose from a variety of graphical formats. Construct a timeline, sit back, and Visualize. Summation will graphically illustrate relationships within your data set based on the date range you select. Once your graph is rendered by the system, you can easily identify the frequency of communication between your custodian and different parties. Visualization offers a new method to cull your data by graphically representing peaks in communication that maybe of importance to you.
With the Social Analyzer, you can see an overall view of communication at a domain level. Think of your Social Media sites. How do we know if someone liked our posts? They comment or click the like button, right? Well, Social Analyzer works similarly, as it can assist you in identifying who was “following” the Custodian – allowing you to look at the interaction from the Custodian to different parties from a bird’s eye view.
File visualization works similarly to email visualization. It is possible to visualize a complete set of data, from a filtered set or from any defined scope. Just identify a time frame, sit back, and visualize.
The system uses a variety of colors to identify file categories and types.
Graphs are then rendered allowing you to further cull by pulling out pieces of the data set for review by simply clicking on the color of the file type or category.
Many of you have been using the Summation product for over a year now and it has been refreshing to search and filter the data on so many levels but as you can see, we can sit back and visualize.
Identifying the key dates and parties through visualization can lead to an efficient review process and can render search results in a fashion that makes that piece of data a bit more appealing.
